Depth of life

Depth of life
In my life and work, depth is important. In his book "A Brief History of Everything", Ken Wilber offers a summary of his study of the worldview and the human image that follows from the important wisdom currents. And he combines that with what science has discovered about it.
He makes a clear distinction between depth of knowledge in the dimension of forms and doing, and the depth of consciousness in the dimension of Being, and the importance of aligning those two dimensions with each other.
In the dimension of forms and doing, science and disciplines help us with their theories and methodologies and methods to grow conceptual knowledge about the objective and subjective facets. We can understand this dimension by naming differences, creating an image, conceptual knowledge, of them. This is about knowledge and science, with which we can achieve a lot.
The dimension of Being deals with consciousness and the wisdom of the heart. This is a non-conceptual dimension, which we do not understand by creating an image of it, but only by being fully present.
Ken Wilber estimates that humanity is slowly ready for a transition to a new depth that essentially concerns the attunement of the dimension of form and doing with the dimension of Being.
In his book, Ken Wilber invites us to translate this idea into implications for various professions and contexts. To translate into many areas of work. After writing a summary of his book, André de Jong of Academium and I started collegial consultation, every 3 weeks. We let Wilber's vision and its consequences for the guidance of people sink in. When we guide people, we think in particular of the way in which we coordinate these two dimensions in our dealings with each other. This results in short articles, no longer than 2 to 3 pages, as finger exercises. In these, we translate Wilber's vision into practice. Short articles, in which we clearly describe one aspect, and take the liberty of omitting many aspects that are related to it. Hopefully, these articles can contribute to a dialogue with colleagues and other professionals about the question of how we can contribute to the transition that, according to Ken Wilber, humanity is gradually ready for in its development.
This collection of articles is published on this page. In addition to Ken Wilber, we are also particularly inspired by
